Black and white

This week-end was a pretty busy week-end ! In a good way ! I had diner with my father and Marie friday evening, took pictures and went to pay my Tea Party tickets to BtssB with Marie, spent the Saturday night with her and Alien and Ludwig. And surely because I love them too much (how kind I am), we also hung out on Sunday, with Sam Fancymelody joining us !!

It was so nice to see her again, it's really been a long time... She's working hard both at school and for her job so every time we see her is a special occasion ! Last year we had a blue themed meet-up, nearly the same period. As we love picking themes for meet-ups, Sam chose : black and white. Because I do own a lot of black and white in my wardrobe, as you may know (;__;). Next time, I swear the meet-up's theme will be pink ! Or chocolate ! Or sweet ! Or anything that I own.

Luckily, I have my marvelous Marie that (often) lend me her dresses~ I picked a Moi-Même-Moitié black dress, simple but beautiful, I loved the fabric ! So soft and fluffy (≧∇≦). Marie and I went for twin coordinations, not the same dress but same styling. I would love doing some more twining with her ! You may be surprised but we have some dresses in common in our wish-list ☆～（ゝ。∂）

Our first stop was at the courtyard of the Louvre (exactly at the same place we took some pictures during the blue themed meet-up). People are often paying more attention to the Louvre and its pyramid than to lolitas taking photographs, so it's a good place to go, with beautiful architecture ! I guess the only bad point was the terrible wind we had that day...

The only to warm ourself up was to go to... Ladurée. Headquarter of our team, it's been a long time we didn't have delicious pastries and tea (or hot chocolate, in this case) at our favorite place. We went to Ladurée Bonarpate that might be my favorite, I just love the feeling of the two rooms (the blue room and the colonial room). 

You will be happy to know that months after they took off every chocolate pastries from the menu, Ladurée finally put again the Elysées on the Ladurée Bonarpate menu ! (YAY FOR CHOCOLATE !). It might not be as delicious as the Carré Chocolat is, but at least I didn't have to pout in front of the waiter trying to have a chocolate-only pastry. Doesn't it look delicious ? Ladurée's hot chocolates aren't really my favorites, but it seems my four friends liked it very much : I was the only not taking the hot chocolate or the chocolat viennois.

As we finished earlier than we thought we would, we ended up going to Anecdotes — Axes femme. It was the last week-end of sales. A lot of things were discounted from 50% to 70% ! How amazing ! The neighborhood was really crowded and so was Axes femme shop, we hopefully managed to find some really useful bargains. I wasn't suppose to buy anything but... I just saw that jumpsuit and... I couldn't resist. It really was a bargain ! Alienor bought pants, Sam two boleros and Marie a pair of boots. It seems that everyone was happy to find something, haha~ Well... Except Ludwig. It was kind of reluctant trying the same jumpsuit as mine (but in brown)... I'm still sure it would have fit him perfectly ! ☆～（ゝ。∂）

Travels : London

I've been such a terrible blogger these past few months, I owe you big apologizes my dear readers ! I will make up for my lack of updates the best I can : I definitively have a lot of events to tell you about, coordinations to share and things to write about. So let's start in order, with some amazing places and events I went to during summer... I couldn't wait to tell you about my trip to London and my attendance at the now well-known Frock On !

On the sunny yet busy Friday 30th August 2013, I took the train with Alienor, Ludwig and Marie to London ! I must say it was my first time in this city and I was pretty excited to be there, though it was only for few days... I knew at least it would be an intense week-end. We woke up pretty early in order to be as early as possible in London — though I must say now we arrived too early... We were more tired than anything else, haha. We will definitely pick a later train next time ! 

We took the train so early I ended up doing my make-up in the train, I hadn't the time to do it before leaving (also we had a surprise birthday party for Ludwig the night before... busy schedule is busy, and tired Mila was tired). After hours in the train, subway, looking for the hotel and checking in we finally went for a walk around the city. The city was so calm and sunny, I must say it really does look like the city we can see through the movies (so many red and yellow bricks. everywhere). Noting that London has, obviously, the best street names ever we improvised a little photoshoot for Alienor and Ludwig, as their outfits matched well with the feeling of the place we were in.

Wandering through the city, Zoé finally joined us in order to go to Vivienne Westwood. We couldn't not go the World's End, especially with Ludwig, Alienor and Zoé among us, big fan of Vivienne Westwood that they are ! The store is sooo far away from every subway stations I was wondering London people were enough brave to go there often, it was more of an epic journey than a relaxing walk, haha.

Finally arriving to the store, I wasn't really fond of anything — plus I wanted to wait Frock On in order to spend all my money, I didn't know what I could find there ! — but I must say it was quite an experience to go there. I may not have spent my money in Westwood, but our three fans bought some jewelries, t-shirts and brooches — that I don't even have pictures of, too bad 'cause they were very nice and cool. Making up for the lack of money spent in Westwood's jewelries, I ended up wanting a chocolate at Starbucks, luckily we had one near the shop.

Most of us had a free-schedule until tomorrow, but I wasn't one of them : I had to go to Frock On's venue for the fashion show rehearsal. Though I was pretty sad to leave my friends, I was also pretty excited to see the venue, meet some girls and try on the clothes I had to wear ! I had the chance to be picked as a model for Chérie Cerise and Millefleurs : both of the outfits were amazing, I can't wait to show you in my next post... 

I went to the rehearsal with Bloody (since she was also modeling) and Marie (because she is very kind). And I must admit it was quite an experience, haha ! We tried on the clothes that were already within the venue, did fashion show walking training, talked a lot with other girls and visited the venue — especially the restroom. Trust me when I say it was the most gorgeous restroom I've ever seen (Ladurée on Champs-Elysées' restroom aren't even that close).

It was quite a long but funny night, I can assure you that all the Tea Party Club staff was working hard ! More than just a fashion show rehearsal, it ended up as a real teamwork. Some packages weren't at the venue at time as we began ; at the end of the practice session, they finally arrived, ensuing a teamwork with all the girls attending to the rehearsal. Carrying up all the boxes full of clothes and accessories from the street to the venue was maybe one of my most memorable moment of my trip — well, take few seconds to picture about fifty lolitas carrying packages full of clothes through the three floors of a gorgeous venue. I must say I felt like a Santa's elf for few minutes. It was like receiving packages you will never have enough money to order.

After all those great adventures we got back to our friends, more exhausted than expected. It's that I walked all day long and rehearsals are more tiring than they seem to be ! I quickly eat with Marie — since all my lucky friends already eat at a Japanese restaurant ;w; — and went back to the hotel : a long night of sleep is needed before a daylong event (≚ᄌ≚)ƶƵ

Opening : Anecdote — axes femme in Paris

Developed and designed throughout the year, the Parisian Axes Femme shop might not have been given as media coverage as a new lolita shop though it's still a very famous brand among young Japanese girls. The brand have been gaining in popularity since 2010 : chiffon fabrics, flower patterns, pastel and natural colors, between romantic and otome style. Axes Femme already pleases a large panel of clientele : lolita, mori, dolly, a lot of Japanese fashions' fans succumbed to Axes Femme's collections and it would not be surprising to see Parisian women do the same... 

Opening thursday 10th October 2013, Axes Femme Paris is really well situated : in the Marais' area, well-known for being the most-fashionable area in Paris ! Luckily, my university student's schedule let me be able to go there on the opening day~

The store is so roomy, way more roomy than I thought it would be : there is even a lower ground floor filled with amazing clothes ! Luminous place, beautiful floor, bouquets all over the place for the grand opening, Mucha tinted window glasses : the shop itself smells like Arts & Crafts and romantic style. It, for sure, does match well with the spirit of the brand. Thought I should say the "brands" since there not one but two brands within the shop ! How luck we are~

Axes Femme's collection were (and still will be) reinterpreted by a French stylist : the sizes and shapes are this way more adapted to European customers. It also feels like the spirit of this second brand, name "Anecdote" is more... Parisian (Japanese would love it ! haha~). Though, don't worry, we also have a large panel of Axes Femme's original collections : and I think it's still not easy to differentiate the two brands.

On the street level, you will find all the Anedocte's collection with some Axes Femmes' items, especially accessories, such as jewelries, bags, shoes, hats (but also some clothes). It's on the lower ground floor that you can see the all Axes Femme's collection : dresses, skirts, cardigans, sweaters and also — surprise ! — the Axes Femme Kids' collection ! I wouldn't have been thinking they would also bring the Kids' collection so I was happily surprised : you can now match your kid with your coordination, how great. The basement level is clearly more girly and cute but not to childish, that is perfect. And please, note cutest fitting room ever : there is a swing inside (though you shouldn't sit on it unless you're six years old... I tried.) !

If you're worried about the prices : you shouldn't be ! There is not so much difference with the Japanese prices : from 10 to 25€ more, depending on how expensive the item already is. Prices are also the same for the Anecdote collection. Blouses, cardigans and light jackets between 49 and 150€, dresses, jumpsuits, shorts and skirts from 60 to 120€, less than 100€ for shoes and bags and less than 50€ for all accessories (jewelries, tights, collars, gloves, ...). Some coats and capes are already on the shelves, from 120 to 200€ if you're interested by one. I feel like the prices are pretty fair : a little more expensive, but with more originality, than Zara or casual European brands and clearly less expensive than Maje, Sandro or other usual Parisian brands of the Marais.

Let's now talk about the sizes, as I said before, they were readjusted for Europeans : this means we now have three sizes, S, M and L (unlikely the Japanese, that mainly have M size). Those sizes match perfectly the usual S, M and L size from the European fashion business : don't worry too much if the dress or the sweater seems pretty thin, a lot of items are smocked or stretchable. We also do have several sizes for children : from S to XL, that should roughly be from 6 to 10/12 years old.

Important note to know : the fur on cardigans and clothes are usually fake, but the accessories' fur is real (rabbit fur). Don't forget to check the composition before buying anything you wouldn't wear. 

Shoes are only available in M and L sizes (Japanese size), I think that might be the only neutral point of my review : we have, in Europe, so much more shoes size. Unfortunately I feel like the M size might be tight and the L size too big for a lot of girls. Though I hope this small problem will soon be rectified, this way every European girls will be able to put Axes Femme's shoes on ☆～（ゝ。∂）

I hope you enjoyed that little walk all around the shop : I can only advice you to go as soon as possible in Anecdote — axes femme store ! Plus, I'm sure the shop girls will welcome you with pleasure, they are so welcoming and smilingヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ﾉ 

To conclude, a small selection a my favorite items of the shop — there were so many that was pretty hard to choose !
