Event : Frock On! (part. 1)

Since reporting the whole event would be way too long (so many things to say !), I cut the main Saturday event in two parts (maybe three ?). I will mainly focus on the fashion show's experience and outfits in this one, if you are more interested into general informations, stalls and activities, please, wait for the other parts (*⌒∇⌒*)

I woke up pretty early on Frock On's day in order to go as soon as possible at the venue with Bloody. Indeed, we had to try on our last outfits that we couldn’t try the evening before. I have to say I was literally amazed when I first saw my Millefleurs’ outfit. It might not be a style that I usually wear but I could only do adore what Millefleurs sent to us. While Marly was in the gold dress, Cordelia in the red one, I wore the flowers’ one: we can say our dress matched us pretty well! More than the dress itself, it was the bonnets I was totally fond of. Look how gorgeous they are!

Marby, Cordelia and I ♡
My second outfit was by the Argentinean brand Chérie Cérise. I was both surprised and happy they picked my application. At first, I thought I couldn’t honour them as I didn’t feel I matched the brand’s feel. Finally I just loved the dress and the whole outfit they picked for me! The bat dress was so cute, detailed and soft that I could’ve wore it all day. The under-fabric was all sparkly and the bat-sleeves were absolute cuteness. Plus, Roxie Sweetheart lent Chérie Cerise jewelleries to match the outfits: might be a detail, but it really put the finishing touches on to the coordinations.

All lolitas waiting for the fashion shows to begin !
Modelling was a little bit stressing, especially that the girls watching us were very near to the catwalk. But all my friends were here to support Bloody and I ! No mistake allowed, haha~ I don’t really know what Millefleurs thought of our performance but Chérie Cerise told me they were very happy they picked me as a model! I couldn’t feel happier when they told me that, my only goal was to proudly represent their brand!

The whole atmosphere in the backstage was really lovely and funny, it was a moment of pure joy and enthusiasm. Everyone was adorable and I really did meet some nice girls ! I also saw people I was dreaming of seeing (do I sound like a fangirl yet ?). I really hope the backstage feeling will be the same at Enchanted, and I'm sure it will be~

Beautiful Lyci wearing 4 O'Clock
Models for 4 O'Clock had to walk on those amazing shoes !

I know the biggest part of the attendees went seeing the fashions shows ! What did you think about it ? I hope the walks wasn't too awkward, haha ! It must be told that we are not professional models (well... Except Chokelate. Is that even fair ? She was simply stunning !)

Obviously, I couldn’t watch the catwalk while the girls were modelling (that’s the sad side of modelling during events ;__;) but I think I watched all the pictures and videos of both of the fashion shows, haha~ I picked some of my favourites outfits so you can have an apercu of the designers’ talent!

Lyci and Chokelate for Juliette & Justine
A lovely girl for Baroque. I just love this dress !
Maja and a cute fawn-girl for Haenuli I do adore Maya's dress !
Dear Carmilla and Bloody for Lief
Marby wearing Atelier Pierrot ! Wasn't she fabulously good-looking ?
Harly Quinn and Maya for the second fashion show
Lyci and Chokelate (again, but we love it) for Juliette & Justine

Thank you for reading ! Stay tuned for the other parts coming soonヾ(^∇^)

Travels : London

I've been such a terrible blogger these past few months, I owe you big apologizes my dear readers ! I will make up for my lack of updates the best I can : I definitively have a lot of events to tell you about, coordinations to share and things to write about. So let's start in order, with some amazing places and events I went to during summer... I couldn't wait to tell you about my trip to London and my attendance at the now well-known Frock On !

On the sunny yet busy Friday 30th August 2013, I took the train with Alienor, Ludwig and Marie to London ! I must say it was my first time in this city and I was pretty excited to be there, though it was only for few days... I knew at least it would be an intense week-end. We woke up pretty early in order to be as early as possible in London — though I must say now we arrived too early... We were more tired than anything else, haha. We will definitely pick a later train next time !

We took the train so early I ended up doing my make-up in the train, I hadn't the time to do it before leaving (also we had a surprise birthday party for Ludwig the night before... busy schedule is busy, and tired Mila was tired). After hours in the train, subway, looking for the hotel and checking in we finally went for a walk around the city. The city was so calm and sunny, I must say it really does look like the city we can see through the movies (so many red and yellow bricks. everywhere). Noting that London has, obviously, the best street names ever we improvised a little photoshoot for Alienor and Ludwig, as their outfits matched well with the feeling of the place we were in.

Soon in Men's VOGUE !

Wandering through the city, Zoé finally joined us in order to go to Vivienne Westwood. We couldn't not go the World's End, especially with Ludwig, Alienor and Zoé among us, big fan of Vivienne Westwood that they are ! The store is sooo far away from every subway stations I was wondering London people were enough brave to go there often, it was more of an epic journey than a relaxing walk, haha.

Finally arriving to the store, I wasn't really fond of anything — plus I wanted to wait Frock On in order to spend all my money, I didn't know what I could find there ! — but I must say it was quite an experience to go there. I may not have spent my money in Westwood, but our three fans bought some jewelries, t-shirts and brooches — that I don't even have pictures of, too bad 'cause they were very nice and cool. Making up for the lack of money spent in Westwood's jewelries, I ended up wanting a chocolate at Starbucks, luckily we had one near the shop.

Kawaii as fuck in the tube
Kawaii as fuck in the stores
(I know you saw I messed up with my own name.)

Most of us had a free-schedule until tomorrow, but I wasn't one of them : I had to go to Frock On's venue for the fashion show rehearsal. Though I was pretty sad to leave my friends, I was also pretty excited to see the venue, meet some girls and try on the clothes I had to wear ! I had the chance to be picked as a model for Chérie Cerise and Millefleurs : both of the outfits were amazing, I can't wait to show you in my next post...

I went to the rehearsal with Bloody (since she was also modeling) and Marie (because she is very kind). And I must admit it was quite an experience, haha ! We tried on the clothes that were already within the venue, did fashion show walking training, talked a lot with other girls and visited the venue — especially the restroom. Trust me when I say it was the most gorgeous restroom I've ever seen (Ladurée on Champs-Elysées' restroom aren't even that close).

Annso being a perfect Olympia on the couch (yeah, still in the restroom)

It was quite a long but funny night, I can assure you that all the Tea Party Club staff was working hard ! More than just a fashion show rehearsal, it ended up as a real teamwork. Some packages weren't at the venue at time as we began ; at the end of the practice session, they finally arrived, ensuing a teamwork with all the girls attending to the rehearsal. Carrying up all the boxes full of clothes and accessories from the street to the venue was maybe one of my most memorable moment of my trip — well, take few seconds to picture about fifty lolitas carrying packages full of clothes through the three floors of a gorgeous venue. I must say I felt like a Santa's elf for few minutes. It was like receiving packages you will never have enough money to order.

After all those great adventures we got back to our friends, more exhausted than expected. It's that I walked all day long and rehearsals are more tiring than they seem to be ! I quickly eat with Marie — since all my lucky friends already eat at a Japanese restaurant ;w; — and went back to the hotel : a long night of sleep is needed before a daylong event (≚ᄌ≚)ƶƵ

I am wearing : Shirt : Ladurée x Uniqlo — Skirt : H&M — Cat ears : Taobao
Bag, socks and brooch : Angelic Pretty — Shoes : Secret Shop — Necklace : Chelsea

Thank you for reading ! And see you soon for my Frock On's report ! (^-^)

Convention : Convention Lolita 2013

Beautiful people. From left to right : Zoé, Ludo, Alienor, Diana, Lucie, Pom' and Marie.

Sunday 7th and Monday 8th, the Convention Lolita took place in 66Pelleport, Paris, for the fourth time ! Convention Lolita seems to always get better an bigger each year. That's a wonderful opportunity to meet new lolitas, see new lolita's collections or buy from European lolita shops. As it was my first year in Paris, it was also the first time I could attempt to Convention Lolita. Since I was queuing all day on Sunday for Perfume's concert, I was able to go at the conv Monday only.

For those who don't know about, Convention Lolita is a lolita-centered convention, created by the French association Rouge Dentelle & Rose Ruban. Taking place in Paris since 2010, you will find there many booths from several brands (French and European brands mainly, some are resellers of Japanese brands), activities (such as accessories workshops, authors and illustrators' signing sessions, ..), fashion shows, concerts : a great schedule for two funny days around many lolitas from all over Europe ! If you're in Paris during the next edition of Convention Lolita you should totally have a look, that's a wonderful and joyful event.

Crappy quality pictures in the backstage ! With Ann-So (left) and Zoé (right)

Though I had such a great time I'm pretty sad to tell you that I can't properly report the event, I was modeling for three brands during the fashion show so I spent most of my day rehearsing and sweating in the backstage (haha~) with Zoé and Diep, also meeting again such wonderful girls as Ann-So or Vief ! The fashion show was all perfect, I think everyone did a great job ! I was myself modeling for By Iza, Rose Berry and The Snow Field. It can be really stressful to switch from one outfit to another, but we had a great team to work with, everyone was ready in time. Here are some pictures of the fashion show (the outfits I wore and my personal favorites outfits).

There were such beautiful dresses, weren't there ? A lot of precious fabrics, such as velvet or embroidered chiffon, especially in Lusty'n'Wonderland and Clara Maeda's fashions shows, but also in some dresses from The Snow Field : isn't this sailor inspired dress so cute ? I can't show you all the fashion show since it was pretty long, but if you want to see more, don't hesitate to go on Convention Lolita's albums

Cleaning and tidying up the fashion show's backstage wasn't quick — finding my stuffs in the backstage room was also long, haha~ — so I ended up going back to the Convention pretty late. I hadn't a lot of time left to photograph all the booths and coordinations I liked. However I was happy to talk again with some people I met during Japan Expo or the BtssB Tea Party. I wish the Convention would have closed later, this way I could have been able to photograph everybody and every lovely booths (;___;) Though I now understand that's not an easy job to clean all the place ! (I stayed with Léonie, Diana and all the team to clean and tidy the place before having a drink with my two favorite Southern girls ♡). Since I wasn't able to listen to the showcases or able to do the workshops I now just can let you have a look to my favorite looks and booths of this Convention Lolita 2013 ! (⌒▽⌒)☆
